Computer Technology: (YOUTH) Entertainment Software Association Education/Tech Grants
Private Funder: Entertainment Software Association Foundation (ESAF); Opportunity: Foundation grants; Funding Focus: Youth education, healthcare & welfare, risk behavior prevention and the multimedia arts/technology; Geographic Focus: National; Eligibility: Nonprofits seeking funding for programs in two or more states that serve youths ages 7-18; Funding: Awards range up to $50,000 each; Deadline< span style=" font-size: 10pt;">: May 15 (Final decisions are made in August).
Summary: ESAF is dedicated to supporting positive programs and opportunities that make a difference in the quality of life, health and welfare of today's youth. The foundation seeks to harness the collective power of the interactive entertainment industry to create positive social impact. The interactive entertainment industry supports geographically diverse projects and programs that benefit American youth of all races and denominations and both genders. The foundation funds a broad range of programs. For example, last year the foundation awarded a grant to the Children's Health Education Center (CHEC) a member of the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. CHEC and its BlueKids.org e-learning programs offer resources and programs for children. The ESAF grant to CHEC will fund the delivery of "Act Now!", an e-learning bullying pre vention program, to over 600 middle school classrooms in Wisconsin, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Summary: Wells Fargo, the multi-state banking concern, is committed to improving and sustaining the company's local communities through grants and volunteer activities that support community programs and organizations. The Wells Fargo Charitable Contributions Program varies from state to state. However, Wells Fargo generally supports the following areas of interest: community development, including housing and workforce development; education, including financial literacy programs; human services; and arts, culture and civic projects. Visit the website for geographical eligibility. Even if you fall outside the bank's focus areas, the website lists additional resources that nonprofits may access. The Wells Fargo Housing Foundation (WFHF) provides resources to nonprofit organizations. Through the Homeownership Grant Program, WFHF provides support for nonprofit housing organizations in communities nationwide where Wells Fargo is located.
